What is PPF?
Paint protection film is a transparent or coloured urethane film applied to suitable surfaces to reduce damage from everyday impacts, abrasion and contamination.
Does PPF stop every stone chip?
No. PPF is a sacrificial protective layer, not an absolute guarantee against damage. Impact severity, angle and location all matter.
Is Clear PPF visible?
A well-installed clear film is discreet, but edges, joins and the film surface may still be visible under certain lighting or on complex panels.
What is the difference between Colour PPF and vinyl wrap?
Colour PPF combines an appearance change with a thicker protective urethane construction. Exact characteristics vary by product.
Can PPF be fitted over repainted panels?
Sometimes, subject to inspection. Repaint quality, curing and adhesion must be assessed before work is accepted.
Can ceramic coating be applied over PPF?
Compatible coatings can be applied to suitable films. The product combination and preparation must be confirmed first.
Can one damaged panel be replaced?
Usually. Matching the existing film, finish and age must be checked before a replacement is confirmed.
Will removing PPF damage paint?
Removal from sound factory paint is normally controlled, but weak, repaired or poorly bonded paint may lift. No absolute promise is made without inspection.
How long does installation take?
It depends on coverage, vehicle complexity, preparation and film availability. Confirmed timing is supplied with the booking.
What warranty applies?
Warranty is product-led. Your confirmation identifies the exact film and applicable manufacturer wording.
Does warranty remain with the vehicle?
Applicable manufacturer coverage may be connected to the vehicle, subject to the current FlexiShield terms and registration requirements.
How soon can the vehicle be washed?
Follow the handover instructions for the installed film. Avoid assuming a universal waiting period across all products.
Is headlight film road legal?
Suitability depends on the film, light output and local rules. Tinted finishes are not automatically road legal.
Does windscreen film affect visibility?
A suitable product must be installed and maintained correctly. Optical suitability is confirmed for the specific application.
Can every interior display be protected?
No. Screen coatings, curves, sensors and material compatibility must be inspected.
Are all marine surfaces suitable?
No. Surface material, condition, access and installation environment must be assessed.
Can film be installed at a marina or commercial site?
Potentially, where access and environmental conditions are suitable. Every off-site project is assessed first.
